These are the reasons Why to be a Democrat

In 1798, the "party of the common man" was officially named the Democratic-Republican Party and in 1800 elected Jefferson as the first Democratic President of the United States. Since then the Democratic Party believes that; People are first and always, are of utmost important to the party and governance of the state.

We believe in:
  1. Let the people rule.
  2. The Democratic Party is America's last, best hope to bridge the divisions of class, race, region, religion, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
  3. The principles of strength, inclusion and opportunity.

The common thread of our party and the Democratic history comes from Thomas Jefferson up to now, has been an abiding faith in the judgment of hardworking American families, and a commitment to helping the excluded, the disenfranchised and the poor strengthen our nation by earning themselves a piece of the American Dream. We remember that this great land was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren.

There are thousands of reasons why you should be a DEMOCRAT, but the most important of all is what Thomas Jefferson believed and that is the competent should rule, always subject to the suggestions and criticisms of the total public. The Democratic Party is an advocate of you and your interests. It is because of the active participation and help of our groups and members that Democrats are able to rise up and stand out against our counterparts. As we aggressively reach out to constituency groups, we continue to embrace community members and get them actively involved in various activities to help maintain and increase party strength. These are some of the reasons of why you should be a DEMOCRAT
